The Fred Thompson Show

by Christian Grantham - 12:40 pm - February 23rd, 2009

fredthomp022309(via the Kleinheider) How many radio talkers out there do you think can say they’re Fred Thompson? Try ain’t narry one, and that’s good enough reason for Former Sen. Fred Thompson (R-TN) to take his show to 125 radio stations starting March 2.

“Of all the radio talkers out there, how many can say they’ve debated in the Senate; campaigned for President of the United States; had a successful TV career on Law and Order and shared the screen with Morgan Freeman, Bruce Willis, Robert De Niro and Sissy Spacek?” said Bart Tessler, EVP Westwood One News & Talk Programming. “Thompson is as unique as they come and that will make for exceptional radio.”

“This will be the biggest talk radio launch since Bill O’Reilly,” said Dennis Green, Westwood One EVP Affiliate Sales. “We have not even hit the air and radio stations from coast to coast are ready for Fred Thompson to speak to their audiences about the issues that matter.”

You might be familiar with the Fred Thompson Show on the national stage during the 2008 Republican Presidential primary.  But before you start writing off this grand old Tennessee Republican, consider the fact that in radio there are no cameras, and Fred can look as tired and over it as he wants.

Good to hear you on the air saying what we need to hear.

    “My comment plain and simple”.

When a drought hits the crop, we old farm boys know, you have got to have more sense than to water the flowers or the fruit this will just rot the crop.
YOU MUST “POOR THE WATER ON THE ROOTS”
EVERY THING ELSE WILL TAKE CARE OF IT SELF.

What if the money spent thus far had been delivered into the hand of the spender.
The bail out then would occur naturally.

  2. Ann Rand says:

I’m just hoping he will be so popular that he’ll eventually push Michael Delgiorno completely off of the air. The guy is a SO offensive and ignorant.

  3. Listened to Fred Thompson the other day . . . . . How do you contact the guy or even call in ?

    Hank “O” the CEO

Is Fred still on? I turned on at 1pm and heard Dave Ramsey. Dave is great, but so repetitive.

First of all I must say, my wife and I totally enjoy your show. It comes on at 5:00 central time, so it is recorded, unfortunately. Because I would love to talk with you.

As far as the BHO news conference,I believe it was a complete waste of time. What this administration is doing in no different than, one borrowing cash from a 25% credit card to pay a payment on a 20% credit card. The person doing that only puts himself in a deeper debt. It is obvious that BHO is trying to follow in FDR’s footsteps, which were failed policies. These Democrats, just don’t get it. If they would have put a moritorium on corporate tax and capital gains tax and cut income taxes by 50% this economy would bounce back immediately and we, the USA would proper once again. If we would put building refineries on a fast track and cut through all of the red tape and start drilling we wouldn’t be able to find the manpower neeed to fullfill that need.

I’ve said more than I intended. God Bless you and your wife and family. thank you.

    Sincerlely,

    Dear Fred:

My wife and I try to listen to you and your wife everyday. If I am unable to listen, I feel like I missed getting my Fred T fix for the day. About Governor Sebelius from KS. I want her tax situation to be overlooked from a purely selfish standpoint, I want her out of KS as Governor.

I spoke with a friend of mine recently that owes the IRS about $37K. He spoke with an enitity that helps one in working with the IRS, like Tax Masters. They told him the amount of interest and penalties amounts to 24% per month. Do you think Geithner or any of the other tax evaders (tax cheats) have been assessed those kind of penalties. I think not. I know the Repulicans are at a disadvantage since they are the majority party, but they must pull together, 100% as a party and save this nation. They need to press for a Justice Department investigation into Dodd, Frank, Raines, Obama, Emanuel and Clinton. These are the people primarily responsible for this financial dibacle. Keep up the great work and May God continue to Bless you and your family.
