The Tennessee Department of Agriculture gave the city of Clarksville, TN a $4,000 grant last week to plant 40 trees in a giant pentagram.
These extremely hardy, native trees are large-growing, long-lived, and well suited for urban tree planting. The objective of the planting is to provide rain interception, improve air quality, and help counter the “heat island” effect of this heavily paved area. A secondary objective is to promote the use of native species and also the use of groves in our City as an alternative to only planting single trees and rows of trees.
The project design consists of a large star-shaped grove of trees encircled by a ring of trees. The five point star is an important ideogram which is commonly used in the Western world, with strong military and patriotic associations. The pattern will be readily recognized from the sky, and is intended to honor Clarksville’s 101st Airborne Division while at the same time functioning as a working grove that will eventually fill in the entire site with a closed canopy.

This is it. What in the world have we come to wasting tax money on monuments to the Devil? I will come right out and say it. We are in the middle of a recession and people can’t afford to get to the hospital and now the Democrats want to build a permanent mark of the beast on our state.
This is what is wrong with our schools that teach us to accept the symbols of the anti-Christ. The Bible warns us that in the end of times we will see the signs and they will be accepted. It looks like the Devil is hard at work now here in Tennessee and we got to stop it. You got Obama the Messiah of the left in the White House and now this.
This has nothing to do with President Obama - Tennessee is a RED state that didn’t support him.
Maybe they made a deal with the voters on the “dark side” to build this abomination if they didn’t support a Democrat in the White House this past election.
I hope to avoid the finished project as much as I can. When I do find myself near it, I will pray against it and what it represents everytime.
I thought a pentagram had an upside down star. I guess this design depends on what angle you view it from.
Actually in Tennessee, Republicans have majority control of Both the Tennessee House and Senate.
