I’ve heard a lot of rumors about Pikes, but “golden showers” as hazing rituals? This is probably not the secret explanation for its official colors of Garnet and “Old Gold.”

Tom Tozer, spokesperson for MTSU, said allegations have been made that certain members have been “urinated on, blindfolded and hit with chairs.”

The hazing was not a part of an initiation, he added, as pledge week has not yet occurred.

MTSU Police Department’s crime logs indicate a subject advised that he was assaulted by 10 persons at the Pi Kappa Alpha House on Greek Row around 2:30 a.m. Oct. 16. No other details of the assault were available and MTSU Police Chief Buddy Peaster could not be reached for comment.
