The Wild Cow Vegetarian Restaurant

The Nashvillest shares word that the building across the street from Rosepepper and Eastland Cafe will soon become the home of The Wild Cow.

The Wild Cow will serve hearty, homestyle vegetarian and vegan food in a fun, casual atmosphere. The menu may even entice some omnivores, with veg*n versions of many restaurant favorites. Everything on their menu sounds familiar – That is, until you read the descriptions. But for those that shy away from foreign terms like “tempeh,” “tofu” and “seitan,” The Wild Cow even offers a bit of relief. How do “grilled cheese,” “nachos” and “burrito” sound? Owners John and Melanie Cochran have both been in the restaurant business for many years, and enjoy creating bold, flavorful meatless versions of popular dishes. And they’re dabbling in the gluten-free world with this new venture.
