Tonya Watts has been working to help the Homeless here in Nashville ever since she met a down on his luck tramp on the street years ago who touched her heart and introduced her to many of the "oldtimers" around the downtown area.

I've got a number of videos and stills from last night but am a little pressed for time today as I've got appointments that must be attended to before I'm able to spend a ton of time here.

I leave you with a performance by Todd and Mick; I've worked with Todd ever since the city closed his camp over on I440 and 21st ave earlier this month.....

8 years of misery under failed Republican policies, coupled with barriers and obstacles put in place as punitive measures to keep hopeless, poverty-stricken, desperate people even further down. A housing crisis beyond comparison. An economy in turmoil and freefall. Gas prices set to enrich the privileged few at the expense of the many poor.

Ya think? Amazing what can happen in just eight short years when you put the wrong person in charge of directing the course of our country....

If I had to select one the one thing that stands out the most to me when dealing with my Homeless brothers and sisters on the street, it would hands-down be their unending desire to assist others who find themselves falling upon hard times.....

"If you're not in Care Not Cash, you can't make a reservation for a bed and you're thrown into this Byzantine system where every day you have to stand in line and try to find a bed."

Many of these things have been addressed singularly here previously, but it is nice to see a brief outline of each.

For some reason, this old rumor has begun recirculating among some of Nashville's homeless population.
