Yoshinos and Red Sunset Maples

We're picking up three Yoshino Cherry trees and 2 Red Sunset Maples to plant this week in the yard. If you know something about these and what they like, let me know.

I know the Yoshinos are the same cherry trees that line the tidal basin in Washington, D.C.. Having lived there for almost 10 years, I really enjoyed the Cherry Blossom Festival that took place in late March. I have many fond memories with dear friends and also college memories sitting underneath what I called at the time "snow trees" for the light sprinkle of white pedals that would fall in early Spring.

I'm told both these trees grow relatively fast. I can't wait to see them grow over the coming years, and especially to see what they look like next spring! I'll take a few pictures as we plant them.
