Jazz At Sherlock's Bookstore Saturday August 2nd

Jazz lovers, movie goers, and bookworms:

Saturday, August 2nd, Tennessee's largest independent bookstore nvites you to see a movie and hear delicious jazz at Sherlock's . Located on the Nashville side of Lebanon, Six-String Jazz will be playing classic tunes from seven until ten pm.

The bookstore contains a small movie theater that will feature "Sidesho", a horror epic

about a suburban family on vacation in the backwoods of Florida who venture off the main highways in search of historic roadside attractions..

The jazz quartet consists of Sam Frazee on gut string guitar, Ned Ramage on electric jazz guitar, Robert Wolf on drums with Wayne Renardson on acoustic bass. Guests will include John Loveccio on tenor sax, Glenn Martin on trombone, and Wayne Ray on alto sax and flute. We will play tunes by such composers as Miles Davis, Jobim, the Duke, Gershwin, Gerry Mulligan, and a host of others.

From Nashville On I-40 East (toward Knoxville), take the South Hartman Drive Exit 236. Turn right at the end of the ramp and simply follow the road. After about a mile, the highway will narrow to two lanes. STAY IN THE LEFT LANE and go through the red light at Old Murfreesboro Road. At the bottom of the hill will be another red light which is the intersection of South Hartman Drive and Highway 231 South. You can see our sign from this intersection. Simply cross Highway 231 South and we are a few hundred yards down on the right.

Bring your children to a great bookstore, enjoy a free movie, enjoy a bite in the cafe, and listen to jazz. No cover.

On Friday, August 29th,the largest independent bookstore in
Tennessee invites you to catch a free movie and hear delicious jazz
at Sherlock's. Located on the Nashville side of Lebanon, Six-String
Jazz will be playing American classic tunes from seven until ten pm.
The bookstore contains a small movie theater that shows films during
operating hours.

Jazz on the Mountain/ July 18

GrandVista Music is excited to announce a one-of-a-kind concert experience, "Jazz on the Mountain" at Vanderbilt's Dyer Observatory. Bring your blanket, food and drinks for an enchanting evening under the stars. This first outdoor GrandVista Music Club event will feature Perry Danos, Shelean Newman and the GrandVista Recording Orchestra at one of Nashville's most unique outdoor venues.

Gates open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m, rain or shine. Because parking is limited to only 100 cars, we are selling tickets to this unique event by the carload. You can bring as many friends as you can fit in your car for only $80.
