    A couple of years ago, Dana over at Pretty Purple Princess issued a challenge to the blogosphere for the month of August. It was called the Happiness Challenge and for the month of August, you were challenged to post something positive or something that made you happy or made you smile, etc. each day in your blog.

  • Lonnell Matthews Retracts Support for the May Town Center - Pith In The Wind
    In a surprising position reversal, Councilman Lonnell Matthews Jr. now says he’s opposed to the land-use change for May Town Center. Matthews represents the district in northwest Davidson County that includes Bells Bend, where the site for MTC lies. Matthews had previously indicated at least tacit support for the project, which is hugely unpopular with the majority of his Scottsboro constituents.

    The problem with the Villegas situation is this: Every law enforcement officer in town knows what I know–that women who give birth while in the Sheriff’s custody give birth shackled to a bed, without the presence of any family members, and then have their baby taken away from them.
