2008 Presidential Election
This summer, Wal-Mart stores management has held mandatory meetings across the country, all with one purpose: to intimidate associates into voting Republican. These mandatory gatherings are Wal-Mart-sponsored rants against Democrats, Barack Obama, and legislation that allows workers to vote for or against representation.
Regardless of your political affiliation, your employer has no right to tell you how to vote. Not only are Wal-Mart's actions here immoral, they may be patently illegal, and they warrant a federal investigation.
Either way, Wal-Mart must be held responsible for these outrageously inappropriate meetings. Demand an FEC investigation.
And the Senate Passes It...
Submitted by chase.clemons on October 1, 2008 - 9:14pm.Alright... so the U.S. Senate just passed their version of a solution to the current financial crisis with a 74 to 25 vote. My senators, Lamar Alexander and Bob Corker, both Republican, voted for it. So next time their up for election, they can kiss their vote from me goodbye. Maybe we can fire their butt for not doing what they were elected to do.
