Be It Resolved: We're Lazy

Surely Jeff Woods is poking fun at Nashville's liberals by claiming they are finally waking up from their slumber.

After maintaining a conspicuous silence as Nashville cracked down on downtown panhandlers and dialed back racial progress in a return to segregated schools, the city's liberals seem to have found their voice.

A parade of progressives spoke out a couple of weeks ago against the second downtown that land speculator Jack May wants to build at Bells Bend. And last night, the liberals struck again, pushing a resolution through the Metro Council asking voters to reject Eric Crafton's English Only charter amendment. Even "Can't Comment" Karl Dean had something to say.

Resolutions begging citizens to vote one way or another are an absolute waste of time. You might as well sit at home and commiserate on Twitter. Until you knock on your neighbor's door, engage the ballot process and actively mobilize voters, you're just snoring complaints into the summer breeze.
