Morning Browser: Attack of the Feel Good Friday!
Dear Josh,
I have been sitting up all night listening to "Love Bites" because you know what? It really does. Def Leopard is right! I never really knew that until I felt it's long knife like teeth come out of your heart like an alien and bite my heart. It's bringing me to my knees. Why can't I figure you out? You are such a mystery to me.
So, anyway, I'm trying to figure out if you are ever going to ask me to the prom. It's like 5 weeks away! Is it true that you already asked Tiffany? If so, is it true that she already said no because Brad asked her out on the school field trip to the Ryman like 3 weeks ago? I asked Jessica in my 4th period class, and she said by the time lunch rolled around, almost the entire cheerleading squad was talking about it. I know that Trish likes to make things up and cause drama because she knows she can get under my skin and make me cause a scene.
Well, if I don't hear from you by the 3p.m. bell, I can't say I know anything about who might steal your Bon Jovi tape and who might wrap it all around your Irok.
Love, Feel Good Friday!
- Feel Good Friday: Blur - Song 2 - For Lack of a Better Word
Because nothing says Friday like British boys screaming "WOO-HOO!"
- Feel Good Friday! - Sharon Cobb
Okay. This one makes me feel good, too. It's not only my favorite Rolling Stones song, but it's my favorite version of this song.
- Here is my FGF for today, no FGF roundup though - LeftWingCracker
These kids, the Homemade Jamz Blues Band, are part of why I love this festival so much. While we are more than just blues, these kids are unbelievable musicians, but they and their family are even better people.
- Feel Good Friday: I Want It All - A Natural Deficiency Of Moral Fiber
The song that I present to you for this fine Friday is a pumped up rocker from the later years of Queen’s career. This tune always gets my blood pumping with only a twinge of sadness at having lost such a great singer in Freddie Mercury:
- Feel Good Friday - I’m Not Doing a Thing - Cluttered Brain
In honor of the special week ahead, I picked the Veggie Tales classic silly song by Larry “The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything.” This song amuses me and pretty much describes the attitude I will have for the next several days.
- FGF -- Sly & the Family Stone - The Daily Docket
To aid you in your journey in the Wayback Machine, "I Want To Take You Higher":
- Smile With Me - A Whiff of Smiff
I know it’s only Thursday, but, I don’t know that I’ll get this up tomorrow and I don’t want to miss Feel Good Friday. I love this song and I love Rufus Wainwright and Judy Garland.
