The bloggers' rant

The rant as a device in literature has an interesting history that I've completely forgotten. But I see it alive and well in your posts today. What is it about the rant that makes me want to run and grab my pitch fork and round up the boys?

  • Progressive Pig-Chasing Crypto-Racists of the New Political Paradigm - Bill Hobbs
Nathan Vaughn didn't lose because of some campaign flier with a picture of birds on it suddenly made thousands of closet-racist voters realize that the man many of them had voted for three times was a black man, no matter how hard liberal reporters try to make you believe otherwise.

  • How is allowing after hours clubs even remotely "thinking outside the box"? - Enclave
After hours clubs have been around for a long time and have been constant money makers for youth gangs and hookers. Their presence is conventional, not outside-the-box. Regulating them in the name of public health and safety is actually the outside-the-box response under the current conditions.

  • Not smart at all - Kay Brooks
And that's not all--while very small the buttons are also VERY hard to engage. You have to press HARD and directly in the center of each of the button in order to get them to respond and actually change the channel or volume. I'm watching TV folks. If I wanted a hand workout I'd come back here and spend time at the keyboard blogging.

  • Ass Grabbers at Shows: a Problem - Nashville Cream
You're minding your own business, looking good. Then an egregious, unapologetic ass grab goes down right there in front of you. It's usually some gross dude with his hand on his girl's ass (or a couple fingers tucked into the back pocket), but the street definitely runs both ways. Gross Street. And you're like, "What's with the ass grab, you ass grabber?"
