We need to keep a close eye on Russia's developing old style Sovietism. Putin and his puppet Medevev, are depending on our distractions of the elections, the Iraqi War, and Iran's nuclear ambitions; from focusing on their emerging autocracy.

Europe, both new and old, along with the US, need to come up with a unifying message of condemnation with closer ties and assurances to old Soviet satellites.
