Joe Lieberman never held a single investigation as Chair of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security. With all of the allegations swirling around the Bush Administration on Homeland Security, Joe never even felt the need to offer up a staged kangeroo court to cover his own butt. He never even went through the motions.

I caught MSNBC's David Gregory last night promoting John McCain as an effective alternative to the Bush economic policy in the wake of yesterday's market crash essentially because Sarah Palin holds down the social conservatives for him while he can play up his ethics reform background and promote tighter regulations against the broad latitude of the Bush Administration.

Evidence shows that [Sarah] Palin is not drawing a lot of support from voters outside the Republican base. An ABC News poll released Friday found the selection of Palin makes people likelier to vote for McCain by just 6 percentage points.
