I’ll have more to say in the morning, as I am still wearing last night’s excesses….but I’ve enjoyed watching Nathan Moore live-blog his own melt-down.  (I’d link, but to which bit of the screed?)

Kenneth Eaton shares a rambling screed on his campaign blog referring to opponent and Vietnam Vet Bob Tuke as a “desk jockey”:

I'm a big fan of Greg Wyshynski's NHL blogging work over at Yahoo (Puck Daddy), but his screed today painting the Predators as a "desperate" team for how they're handling the Alexander Radulov situation is more than a bit absurd. He uses some tenuous logic coupled with bogus comparisons to portray the Nashville organization as one that is barely clinging to life.

I actually paused my vacation (happily, since the first leg is a stop in Georgia to can vegetables in 100 degree heat) to respond to the stupidest post I think I have ever read.  Ever.

So, today Campfield says

This is a Republic, for crying out loud, not a private birthday ice cream pool-party. If you want to build rubbish, go do it like the rest of the landed gentry: in the middle of a huge estate where nobody will have to deal with it.

The Nashville City Paper's Richard Lawson has written another tired and disjointed screed that does the very thing he accuses neighborhood leaders of doing: demonizing his opponents, neighborhood leaders.

I don’t like to brag, but I’m in pretty tight with a couple of the guys in food service over at MSNBC. Of the many fruits that come to bear out of such a relationship, one is the occasional leak on an important news story.
