The Nashville branch of the NAACP has just delivered an inflammatory letter to the school board comparing the student rezoning plan to a hangman's gallows for black children. The letter demands that the board rescind the plan. If the board refuses, the letter suggests the NAACP's intention to sue for discrimination.

Yes, many have seen these articles, but I am posting for reference for all those who may need to catch up and were out of town in my district. Thank you to everyone for the overwhelming support on the most recent issue, the flowers sent to my home, the cards, and the plefora of positive emails about our vote. Thank you.

I have been meaning to blog about this all week, but forgot.

Let’s recap.

–We have a school district.  Until recently, it was headed up by Pedro Garcia, whose goal in superintending seemed to be to throw everything against a wall and see what stuck.  He kind of really sucked.

As one who has been away from the action and watching the school zoning fires burn from afar, a few observations.

Maybe Dean didn’t help apply the pressure for resegregation. But at this point, until they tell us otherwise, we can only assume the mayor and his so-called progressive colleagues are all OK with it.
