NAACP Decries Rezoning Plan as 'Gallows'

The Nashville branch of the NAACP has just delivered an inflammatory letter to the school board comparing the student rezoning plan to a hangman's gallows for black children. The letter demands that the board rescind the plan. If the board refuses, the letter suggests the NAACP's intention to sue for discrimination.

Let’s recap.

–We have a school district.  Until recently, it was headed up by Pedro Garcia, whose goal in superintending seemed to be to throw everything against a wall and see what stuck.  He kind of really sucked.

Maybe Dean didn’t help apply the pressure for resegregation. But at this point, until they tell us otherwise, we can only assume the mayor and his so-called progressive colleagues are all OK with it.
