It's really not so much the "willingness' to work; most of the folks I work with every day would gladly go to a job on time, every day, just like the rest of us, if only that job could pay them enough to pay the rent and buy groceries each month.  That many of the available jobs -

Two weeks til the end of 5th grade for Kenzo and Suzie, then off to the cruel, harsh world that is middle school.

Seems like just yesterday that Kenzo screamed, at the top of her little five-year-old lungs...

Were we once so innocent?


Check out this video from the 1960's. The girl who the song was written, uh, "for" said she didn't get it for some time...then, sometime explained to her how birds and bees make each other happy in non-reproducing ways and she "hid in her room for months."


Ah, those were the days.
