I usually skip over anything bylined by the Atlantic’s Marc Ambinder because he’s become a predictable hack this election cycle.  But when I saw this lead I had to read:

Just a few quick thoughts before I head to bed…

Palin was VERY well coached.  Also, props to her for memorizing her talking points.  Beyond that, nothing substantive, though she will continue to thrill what remains of the Republican base.

The polls don't look too great for Obama right now. McCain opened up a big post-convention bounce and Sarah Palin only looks to be helping him out as of right now.
