It is virtually unprecedented that a state attorney general say he will break the law and not honor lawful subpoenas.   This is something right out of the corrupt Bush Administration’s politicized Justice Dept.

Karl Rove has been cited for contempt.  Rove has recently defied a committee subpoena, refusing to testify on the firing of federal prosecutors and the politicization of the Department of Justice. The recent Inspector General report seems to strengthen the case against Rove in that the report found members of the Justice Dept. guilty [...]

Just another brick in the wall of evidence of war crimes.

The American Civil Liberties Union has obtained through Freedom of Information several internal Bush administration documents that authorizes the CIA to torture detainees.

The enormous cost of the full blown battle to a stalemate - aka the war in Iraq - is still being calculated, and sadly will continue to be tallied for years to come. A very comprehensive account of the pure symphony of bad decisions of the Bush administration was just presented on the PBS news show "Frontline" on Monday and Tuesday.

"He's out there operating without any decent restraint, totally beyond the pale of any acceptable human conduct." (via)

That's the quote that popped into my head after reading about yet another case of military contractors in Iraq accused of criminal acts.
