Every single time the republicans get excited at the convention, they start chanting "USA USA USA." It's like the sheep are following their leaders again, and the only tangible reality to them is American flags, American flag pins, saluting and...wait, am I describing America or Nazi Germany?

I love Krugman’s columns, partly because I generally agree with him, and partly becasue from time to time, he reminds me that life is cyclic. Today he finds a disturbing cyclic pattern, that we call globalization.

In case you didn’t know, Mahmoud Abbas funded the 1972 Terrorist Attacks at the Olympics in Munich.
Abbas leads the Fatah faction (like Hamas, just another terrorist organization) under the PLO umbrella.
Fatah’s ideology: Palestinian nationalism, Left-wing nationalism, Socialism.
Obama’s ideology: Left-wing nationalism, Socialism.
