We just had a new metal roof installed on our office, and a part of it is just outside my window, covering the porch below.

It’s finally raining here - the second time since the roof was installed a few months ago - and I have discovered that I simply adore the sound of rain on a metal roof.

I’m leaving Tennessee for Arizona this morning (see Tour Page for details).  I’ve been charged by my seven year-old with the task of taking a picture of a cactus while I’m away.  But she’s half-hearted about it, knowing that the perfect cactus specimen is no match for what we just left in Cherokee National Park.

Summer is definitely here, and it's time to try out some beers suited perfectly for the warm weather. Forget those mass-produced, "coldest beer ever", canned pieces of junk, we're talking real craft beer that's full of great taste and refreshing in the heat as well. These beers are perfect out on the porch, by the pool, after a day in the yard - anytime!
