I've said before that you'd probably be surprised to learn just how many people you run into in the course of your day might actually be homeless. While some of the folks are easy to recognize, a growing number of them are so far from the stereotypical image I think you'd be shocked to discover the truth..

From 1973 until he died a couple of weeks ago, my father had to wear braces on his legs. He actually invented these braces himself, and they helped him to sort-of-walk (along with canes).

The Primary Wife and I shared a good laugh this morning.  See, its our 15th anniversary, and again, neither of us remembered in time to prepare anything.  Every year, it seems, one or the other remembers the day of, or the day after, and I can’t remember a time when that made either of us mad.

There are many of these kind, compassionate folks wandering our cities, lending a quiet helping hand to those who need it most.

Name that tune. Someday I'll tell you about the college non-boyfriend with whom that was our non-song, but that's for another time. It feels a little cheesy now, but I always liked that line, and it works here.

Haven't felt like blogging much lately. I think that means it's time for a meme. 'Cause it will stimulate my creativity and writing skills. Or something.

I have said for a long time how much I hate reality TV. Hate, hate hate it. I think it plays to our basest instincts. I think it's the networks phoning it in. And the people who go on those shows as participants....well, let's just say I don't get it.
