COLUMBIA - The works of local artist John Andrade are now on display at Columbia State Community College’s

The Maury Regional Healthcare Foundation’s second annual art show and sale will be held Aug. 8-9 at the Memorial Building in Columbia.

Thirty six local and regional artists will be participating this year. In addition to paintings, this year’s show will include pottery, wood turned items, stained glass and photography.

The Arts & Culture Alliance is pleased to present the 2008 Tennessee Watercolor Society Biennial Exhibition, the 31st statewide juried exhibition showcasing representational and experimental paintings in watermedia by some of the most prominent artists from across the state.

So... about three weeks ago I was getting my hair cut. Bill Vandiver, my hair strategist *wink*, and I were talking about how incredible my friend Emily's paintings are... cause they are Emily... (don't argue with me young lady!) and how she'd donated some to help raise funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation.

Anyway... the conversation lead to another conversation about an event Bill

I had an amazing weekend in Providence. The weather was a little chillier than I'd packed for, but the RISD alumni sale was awesome.

A few weeks ago Carpenter’s Way in Lufkin, Texas brought me and The Jesus Painter in for their Palm Sunday service. We had never worked together before, didn’t have a clue how we were going to make this pairing work, so we just improvised.  I watched him paint and sang what came to mind.  Here’s one moment from that morning.
