Barack Obama has purchased a half-hour of airtime on CBS, sources confirm.

The Obama campaign will air a half-hour primetime special on Wednesday, Oct. 29, at 8 p.m.

This is an Andy Rooney post. My apologies. I swore to never write an Andy Rooney “kids these days” post, but you know, oh well. I am weak-minded and weak-willed and it’s Monday, my friends.

Former Rear Admiral John Hutson

I love that tonight the Keynote Speaker for the Democratic Convention is Mark Warner, and he won't even be seen in primetime (that honor goes to you know who). Instead, the networks will be running:

ABC - "Wanna Bet" a hilarious show about people doing OUTRAGEOUS things, such as opening beer bottles with a chainsaw, and a guy who shoots baskets from the back of his neck.

Mike Huckabee expects primetime at the Republican National Convention:

So he chose to sling his legal briefs across the lampshade on a nightstand of somebody other than his fatty, cancer-riddled wife.  Gingrich did it!  McCain did it!  I don’t really care. The only thing that matters to me is a candidate’s integrity on the issues.
