Time and time again I was struck by a key difference between our two biggest enemy groups in Iraq.  Al Qaeda in Iraq was tone-deaf about the effect its attacks in Iraq had on local and Western media.  They had no appreciation for how their actions undermined their own success at home and abroad.  Iran, on the other hand, demonstrated a much more sophisticated view of how they effected Weste
