Tom Humphrey had an update on the story involving TNGOP Chairwoman Robin Smith's "private" letter to the Governor being released to the media.

When people use the term lifestyle business they usually are referring to something small and even part-time. Academics and policy folks will often say the term lifestyle business with a hint of indifference, boredom, or even condescension. This is not a business that interests them very much if it is not designed to scale up and grow.

I joined a new social networking site the other day. It's called Crewspace, and it's similar to MySpace, but less cluttered and meant for road crews to socialize with each other. As they put it:

I am sitting here at work trying to find things to keep me busy. I have a few things that I have been assigned but I am far from knowing enough to be self-sufficient. I am bordering on boredom but this is a much better job than my old customer service based technical support position. When I look down the hall at those people who are left over there I feel terrible for them.
