To stop what? Certainly the answer must be of some moment to at least some of the inhabitants of that community. This is the sort of thing that better proofreading can (dare I say it?) stop.

Meanwhile, those poor Springfielders are suspended on tenterhooks. Most uncomfortable.

A few months ago we started noticing a regular drumbeat of news stories and other articles related to life in the cube — how to survive it, how to decorate it, how to get out of it — and just plain living in it. What we couldn't find was a place that brought all this together, a place for cube dwellers to get tips, share their experiences and otherwise "find their people."
