When I was about…oh, I guess about 8 or 9, I stood in front of this man, backstage at the Municipal Auditorium during the Fan Fair “Reunion Show” and watched Merle Travis and Joe Maphis pick, as in up close, could reach out and touch them.

Turn back now.  Run even, in whatever direction will get you away from the whining...

Because this type of whining and bitching is purely driven by me being emotional and most of it is completely irrational.

If you've been in the church very long, you've heard this bumper-sticker Scripture: "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." The next two verses, though usually not included, are equally helpful: "Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD, and turn away from evil.

I'd heard about the largest re-enlistment ceremony in the history of the U.S. military that was conducted in Baghdad on July 4, now I've seen it with my own eyes thanks to blogging soldier Bob Krumm, who has put video of it on YouTube. Krumm's comments are on his blog.
