I succumbed to peer pressure and made some pictures at YearbookYourself.com. When you upload a pic of yourself, you can see what you would have looked like in a yearbook from the 50's, 60's, 70's etc...

These are the shocking results, not for the faint of heart. The years selected are 1952, 1976, 1990 and 1996.

Not much new around the kitchen this week...Monday night, I enjoyed a delicious dinner over at Claudia's house. She'd inadvertently used more chili flakes than I had a taste for in a lovely citrus farro dish, so using what I'd learned from a friend of mine at work (who cools her mother's spicy Indian food with homemade yoghurt), I asked if there was any dairy around.

Before sisters Mylee and Sareeka, both 6 years old, could eat their icy treats Saturday morning, they had to be restrained.

Actually, more like moved to a different area while their caretakers dropped off five-gallon turkey broth popsicles on the ground.

The coupons promised by the Earthbound Farms rep arrived quite promptly. Two coupons for any Earthbound Farms product for free. So I am thinking of sucking it up and heading to Whole Foods to take advantage of these lovely gifts and not waste them on four dollars worth of salad greens.

Fourth of July celebration in the Whitland Avenue neighborhood. We like it for a lot of reasons. It’s a chance to see people we like and hardly ever see. This year, the weather was pleasant.
