When I'm on the street working with folks, it's rare that I have a large success, such as getting someone into housing. To me, that's a biggie.

To be sure, I've put a number of peeps into transitional and permanent housing, but most successes are small, barely worth mentioning here.

  • On the 4th, near Rivergate we saw a guy on a motorcycle wearing a German WWII-style helmet plastered with an American Flag on the back. He seemed historically confused to me. He also sported a large TCB tattoo on his calf.

Sen. John Wilder’s effort to revive his Tennessee Plan reauthorization bill failed in the senate just before 8 p.m. this evening. Sen. Rosalind Kurita (D-Clarksville) and Sen. Mike Williams (I-Maynardville) joined all Republican senators in voting not to bypass the Government Operations committee and bring Wilder’s bill directly to the floor of the senate.

Yes, I’m talking the OS, not the kind made of glass that helps brighten up the room.

Yesterday, I finally got around to running Windows update on my computer. It turns out, yesterday’s update was a biggie - service pack 3, as a matter of fact. And thanks to that lovely update, M$ turned automatic updates back on for my computer.
