So as I’m sure you’ve read elsewhere, it seems that McCain’s latest tactic is to try to hit Obama for his past association with William Ayers. I can understand why McCain wants to attack Obama, but I really don’t expect this to work. To explain, I’m going to crib heavily off Malcolm Gladwell’s excellent book The Tipping Point.

The media loves to challenge the veracity of pastors who financially prosper from their ministries.  The left challenges the oil industry because they actually make profits in their business.  But what about Al Gore? Nary a peep.

Some of us seem to be born with the gift of knowing how to use tools, fix things, do things around the house or workplace. I am cursed to be one of those. Others are not so lucky, never really understanding which end of the screwdriver to hit the nail with. My neighbor, Fred, was one of those.
