Isn't it amazing just how far, and how quickly, we've all spiraled down since the start of the 21st century?

Makes you really wonder who got us into this nightmare, but more importantly, it really makes you wonder who'll be able to get us out of it.....

A headline in Christian Science Monitor caught my attention: "Global warming not always to blame for extreme winters." This implies, of course, that global warming can still sometimes be blamed for extreme winters, which is bogus. Global warming cannot logically be blamed for anything. At any rate, here's the pull quote from the story:

I grew up in the Northeast, and other than shoveling the driveway, I loved winters and playing in the snow. There’s something about snow that keeps one young at heart. It doesn’t matter how old you are, throwing snowballs, making snow angels, are the epitome of winter-time. Then we moved to the southeast. I miss the snow.

April fools day has come and gone in all of its infamy in the Charlotte version of the Corbin household. Normally I hear of a few funny jokes either on the radio talk shows or perhaps from friends. Not so this year.
