The kittens are getting SO big!! They are in that REALLY cute stage too. They have such neat personalities. Casey and I have become so attached that we are keeping them all. We have Ramsay (after Gordon Ramsay), Sookie (after Sookie Stackhouse from the Southern Vampire novels), and Trianna (after Trianna Orpheus, Dr. Orpheus' daughter on Venture Brothers). Enjoy the cuteness....

Heh.

I was sitting here at my desk, trying to “work,” while letting the Bug do whatever she wants around my mostly childproofed office. She was happily playing by herself at the other side of the room, and I got buried in my work. After a few minutes, I startled to feel something against my foot.

The Bug had crawled cutely over to me and was playing with my shoe.

I have been bribed to go against my principles. One drive to Watertown, one concession-stand pizza and the ability to take my dog with me to the movies seems to be the going rate for cajoling me out of a firmly held stance.

Like just about all babies, the Bug’s sleep patterns have changed a lot over the nine months that make up her life.

I’ve got you!

It’s a real bummer that I’m sick right now, and not just because I’ve been sick for more than a week now (bleh).

One of my brothers lives in the splendid state that is Mississippi, so I rarely get to see him or his clan. But this week, my sis-in-law brought the two young’ins up to Knoxville.

Happy Ostara (Vernal Equinox)!

The first day of spring has finally arrived after an ingloriously cold winter. Unfortunately, the weather up here on the mountain is 40 degrees (5 degrees Celsius), rainy, and foggy.

First, go over and support the Stewman, who is fighting cancer without the aid of health insurance.  Yeah, if that don’t scare the [bleep] out of you, nothing will.
