couple days

Generally reading more conservative Blogs and chat groups than liberal blogs and groups, I have tended to think we on the right had a lot of nuts among us. However, in the last couple days I have been exploring the left side of the blogosphere and talk about nuts; the left may have more of the Tinfoil Hat Crowd than we do.

I actually don’t think I do have a death obsession. But I noticed a couple of years ago that almost all the songs I like to sing to the kids are about death. I hadn’t thought about it in quite some time because the 3yo is your dream child at bedtime. We put him in bed, kiss him goodnight and he freakin’ goes to sleep.

Yesterday I removed the McCain ad from my blog, took down the McCain-Palin sign from my front yard and removed the McCain bumper sticker from my front storm door and the bumper of my car.

Robin over at Chickenhawk Express has done a wonderful good job of putting ‘words to paper’ which say pretty much what I have been mulling over in my mind for the last couple days. It’s a barn burner for sure.

Not much new news to report. I've lightened my workout load this week, to give my body some extra rest for the upcoming 5K. I ran a couple of days and swam a couple days. Now, I get 2 days of rest time. Rest time is good, because I seem to have tweaked my right hip. It seems it was more from swimming breaststroke than running though. Something a little rest can't cure.

I posted that short video extract a couple days ago (The Greatest Movie Line ever..."Ghost Breakers") and sort of felt bad that I didn't even recognize Bob freakin' Hope. Weak in the movie-fu know-who. There may be something to say for that, but Bob Hope? Sheesh.

The Manchild is having his wisdom teeth cut out today.  I don’t think I’ll be photographing and blogging this event. 

Then again, it might be fun to video him when he’s all loopy and stuff.

He’s doing better. When you have the mild concussion symptoms you have to not put him in any situations where he’d be involved in any collisions for a few days, so we’re waiting. But he’s been conditioning inside and he should be fine.
