I grew up watching Hee Haw and I know folks have written [bleep]-tons of material about Hee Haw and I’m not going to say anything that other folks haven’t already said. But I liked it. I thought it was subversive. It took the truth and stereotypes and artistry and comedy and mixed them all up until the lines between them were all blurred. No Oscars. Thank God (literally) For Netflix.19

The new issue of EW is in high lather about–oh noes!–the Oscars being cancelled. I guess since the Golden Globes (i.e. the most glitzy press conference ever) were shuttered by the WGA strike, the chances of No Oscars For The First Time EVAH!!! is weighing heavily on the hearts and minds of people who care about such things. |
