Apparently, Sarah Palin said that she is being attacked because the press is not comfortable with the idea of a hard working average American in the White House. Conservatives apparently believe that the attacks on Palin’s qualifications means that “elitists” and liberals no longer believe in the notion that anyone can grow up to be (Vice) President.

I'm not going to pretend to understand all the economics of the Wall Street collapse. I understand basic supply and demand and how the stock market works, but I couldn't tell you about the intricacies of the credit market.

HBO just aired a fantastic documentary on high school debate. The film narrative follows two story lines: one from an elite white school in Texas and an inner city african american school in California.

I’ve seen more ministers in the past few days than I’ve seen in years.  But folks seem to be coming out of the woodwork to check in on my dad and pray and hear that they, too, are being prayed for.

I respectfully bow my head and hold hands and wonder what keeps these folks going.
