A few weeks ago I spent about half an hour on the phone with a reporter for National Public Radio discussing how Republicans were able to make historic gains in the state legislature in the November election amid a national Democratic tide. During the call, the reporter raised several areas of discussion.

From CNN comes word Barack Obama is still smarting from attacks on his wife by the Tennessee Republican Party and others:

The Canadian press reports on the Presidential campaigns’ sidestepping of Tennessee:

Tennessee went to the Republicans in 2004 and even in 2000, when native son Al Gore was the Democratic presidential nominee.

So why does the Democratic presidential nominee keep invoking the name of a 76-year-old Republican from Indiana?

TPM points out that down-ticket races, like that of Georgia's Saxby Chambliss, are manifesting the Republican thugs who would like to take out Barack Obama:

If this indeed turns out to be the case, it should clearly show Obama lacks good judgment (best case) OR is a politician that puts HIS political interest over the well being of national security and our troops best interest (worst case).
