The Senate has their Gang of 10 (now Gang of 16 with 3 newbie Senators from each party) that calls for a spending orgy to “solve” the oil supply problem.

Funny how words that were forbidden in the last presidential campaign are being tossed about like rose petals now. For instance:

I guess I’ve been so beleaguered and demoralized by the lack of Republican backbone that when I saw Bush step into the Rose Garden and actually call out the some of the failed ideas that are giving us $4 a gallon gas (to the delight of environmentalists, and the New York Times, and Al Gore and Obama–though the rise has been a bit quick for Barry O), I actually was inspired.

Hoorah!  Bush is taking it to the Dems on oil, energy, drilling…
