You may have noticed that this blog had received somewhat of a facelift over the past few days. I've moved some things around to make the site more user-friendly. The layout changed - it's minimalist and feels less cluttered.

Salemtown/MetroCenter Starbucks Apparently Clears the First Cut

The Consumerist claims to have a list of the first group of Starbucks stores that will close by the end of the month. The store at the northern tip of Salemtown (Rosa Parks & Dominican) is not listed; in fact, no Tennessee stores are listed in this group.

"...food prices have risen at its fastest rate in 17 years and they aren't likely to come down any time soon."

And those with the lowest incomes suffer the worst, of course. The church we rent office space in has a lunch every Sunday and it has become unbelievably busy lately, with reports of people lining up all the way from the front door into the parking lot, onto 8th St., snaking finally around the back of the building....
