My house is quiet. Lily is sleeping and the boys have left for school. I need to try to keep myself engaged in other things today so I do not sit around feeling sad all day. I am sad. I am very sad. I don't want to mask it, but I don't want to wallow in it either.

This is one of those posts in which I imagine we're all standing around the sinks in a high school bathroom together, dishing on something we don't want the boys to know about.

Last week, the folks developing Nashville's Museum of African American Music, Art and Culture proposed a partnership between the museum—slated to open in 2011—and Fisk University to showcase the school's coveted Stieglitz Collection. In return, Fisk would get “a steady stream of revenue” to help the school recover from financial purgatory. Seemed like a good enough idea.
