I get an email every morning from Sam Davidson at Change Is Cool. I often think of unsubscribing, but there are many times where his email, which usually hits my inbox at around 5:15am, is the thing that lets me know I’ve missed another night of sleep. In other words, it’s become a part of my routine.

In the movie the Godfather, a message is sent to the Corleone family when their most loyal and vicious enforcer Luca Brasi is killed:

The folks over at Huffington Post are shocked, shocked I tell you, that Sarah Palin would be interviewed while turkeys are slaughtered in the background.

Robins are eating dogwood berries before they drop and the turkeys can get them, though they knock a few off now and then.

A flock rafter of turkeys came through my yard a few weeks ago, and I managed to photograph them from the back porch without scaring them off. They gathered under a dogwood, eating berries that had fallen to the ground.

Unsurprising.

But we knew Barack Obama always pulled in a flock of sorts. I figured, buzzards, to clean up the free stuff. Turkeys? Socialists birds, obviously.
