I know I've been sitting on the playlist for this one for a full week now - but after I wrapped up my vacation last week, I realized I needed to extend the blog vacation a little bit longer.  It was a lovely and much-needed week off, and now that I've had a chance to regroup, it's time to catch up.

So that Scarlett Johansson album I was so excited about? The one where she covers Tom Waits songs? I heard three tracks from Anywhere I Lay My Head this morning and have determined that it's crap. Sorry. I wanted to love it, but I don't know what the hell she was trying to do here.

Scarlett Johansson's collection of Tom Waits covers, Anywhere I Lay My Head is due out May 20. Billboard reports its track list below.

I've added original album titles and their release dates. It's apparent that she's not focusing on any one era of Tom Waits' career. Kudos to her for her interest in his work. I'm very excited to hear her interpretations of Tom's songs.

Y'all, this is awesome. will.i.am. from the Back Eyed Peas, John Legend, Scarlett Johansson, and numerous others with Barack Obama with one of the best theme songs I've ever heard for a campaign.

It's called 'Yes We Can."
