I took two weeks off from work to build a shed for my equipment. I bought posts 14′, 13′ and 12′ tall that I planned to put 3′ deep.  Three posts in each row makes nine holes. Once I had the area cleared and the posts painted, I started to dig the holes. I got the first two done one afternoon and I was amazed how hard the ground was.

At 4:19 this aft, after last week's deadline, the N-S reports four more applicants (and one withdrawn app) for the vacant commission seats:

—Former state Rep. Steve Buttry for the 6th Commission District, where only Bob Rountree applied by Friday’s deadline. Buttry e-mailed his application Saturday afternoon.

—Roger Kane, who lost the Republican primary for trustee, in the 6th Commission District. He sent his e-mail to the commission office Thursday but an employee said it
