I think I've figured out part of my problem.

Short of the first aid after last week's window debacle, I have not touched another human being in weeks.  Thinking about that fact, I find it incredible for me.  I am a handsy person by nature.  I touch people when I talk, and am not afraid of affectionate gestures, even with those I know only slightly. 

If these two men are guilty of this attack, they ought to spend a very large part of the remainder of their lives locked away from the rest of society.

The Author over at Voluntarily Conservative wrote about the shooting in Knoxville minutes after it occurred.  I understand his shock and dismay over what happened, espescially since he lives nearby.  That said, I must take issue with this part of his post:

We had to go home last weekend for the wedding of one of Steve's favorite cousins, so we decided to wait and celebrate Elijah's first birthday a few days late, with our families. Our little guy was blessed to receive lots of love and generous gifts from doting grandparents/great-grandparents/great-aunts & uncles...and then he got his very first taste of chocolate.

I am usually much better about updating this blog, it's been a week and I apologize.
I hate excuses but work has been a bit of a nightmare this week.
To say I am happy the weekend is here is an understatement.
ANYWAY--last weekend we got the family together and celebrated Gabi's 4th Birthday.

Norman Atwood died today. I think he was around 53.

There was a milestone in my family over the weekend. My aunt Ruby passed away Friday night at the age of eighty-two.
