Find more posts like this: It’s windy and much colder today than yesterday when I planted these flowers in our old whiskey barrel. I change the flowers out each spring, and this year I decided to go with a mix of hyacinth, daffodils, pansies with a sprinkling of dianthus. The color combinations are very pretty and the barrel is now the “eye catcher” rather than the “eyesore” ;~) Green Thumb Sunday17

Find more posts like this: With camera in hand, I took a little stroll through the yard this morning to inspect the new growth on our rose bushes, and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity photograph the neighbor’s daffodils. I don’t have daffodils in my yard but I do have a few narcissus which haven’t bloomed yet. Green Thumb Sunday8

Find more posts like this: Finally. We have flowers blooming :=) The crocus buds exploded and I have about a dozen white, purple and variegated flowers spread out in crooked little rows on the east side of the house. They are so perky and sweet, and I spotted lots green poppy anemone foliage growing alongside. All I can say is…it’s about time! Green Thumb Sunday15
