The Smyrna police department is offering a service to you that might save your child.

The Smyrna Police Department's Traffic Safety Unit will be conducting a child safety seat check up on Wednesday November 19th from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the new Smyrna Justice Center located at 400 East Enon Springs road. This is a free service offered by the Smyrna Police Department to you.

It looks like City Council has an agenda item to grant VMC's Minvilla boondoggle another cool million of our money tomorrow night. It is very concerning that this is being put to a vote nearly two weeks prior to the closing of the public input session. This doesn't bode well for the value of the public input phase.

A week ago Wednesday, February 20th, Michele Niec says she accompanied her girl friend to court. Her friend was scared and was attempting to file an order of protection against her EX. These are often very troubling and trying times for women who have been subjected to domestic violence issues. Niec says she was there for protection, and moral support.

“I was the key witness” Niec tells me, her voice echoing in the upper level of the AA Birch Justice Center.
