While we're all involved with the Democratic convention with Obama and McCain's pick later today, please make sure and keep the Dalai Lama in your thoughts and prayers.

Crazy Lou Holtz to Mark May during halftime of the Carolina vs. NC State game, when asked why he gave "no love" to Clemson in their preview of the Alabam game:

Holtz: "If the players buy into Nick Saban's defense they could be very good this year."

May: "No love for Clemson? What the?"

Holtz: "I coached against LSU and the SEC. You played against Hofstra."

In the case of Otis Rush, like many other bluesmen, Mississippi's loss was Chicago's gain. Otis was really instrumental in defining the prototypical Chicago Blues sound.

I first got hip to Otis through a searing version on John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers' "Beano" album, with the newcomer Eric Clapton on guitar. Let's watch Otis do "All Your Love (I Miss Loving)":
