What brought about the belly buster for me?

The sun dried out the roads, providing no excuse for me to scratch the 8-miler. Some sights along the way (none of which, I'm sure, are happening north of Detroit):

Five (5) groups of children playing various snow games, including, but not limited to: (a) building a fort (b) rolling a snow-boulder (c) making snow angels (d) general exuberance
Four (4) times I got splashed by an inconsiderate SUV speeding through our 'hood. Ok, it was just once, but it really hacked me off.
