A conservative makes the case that Sarah Palin is the “true conservative” Republicans were so desperately looking for during the presidential campaign:

“I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a ‘community organizer,’ except that you have actual responsibilities”

Your response to the person in Sarasota is exactly how you need to face this opponent:

The metformin is kind of kicking my butt.  I took it with dinner and then lasted about an hour before I was like “Ugh, drink up, Butcher.  I’ve got to get home.”

Now I’m just sitting on the couch waiting to see if I’m going to be sick.

Mommy has not been very good this summer about jotting these things down on every receipt, napkin, and bank envelope in her purse. I'm sure I've missed some real winners.

I neglected to mention that I heard from the nurse this morning.

She didn’t really say anything, just that I’m anemic and they’re going to put me on an iron supplement and that I need to go in tomorrow to talk to the doctor about my hormone levels.

I have this co-worker who talks about nothing but her son.  Her son who is the same age as my son.  Her son…we’ll call him Colin (that aint his name) and my Manchild actually know each other.  I’m not gonna say how cause somebody will be trying to piece it together.

And never spend your days tattling on your Dad to your Uncle B., because he will indeed then turn around and tattle on you when you’re not keeping the rest of the family in the loop on your medical and real estate conditions.
