Six years ago this today, Shark Boy was born. I remember lying in my hospital bed watching Mr. P cradling our tiny boy in his strong arms and smiling the biggest smile I'd ever seen on my husband's face. And little Shark was scowling the fierest, most hilarious scowl ever seen on a person who is 2 minutes old.

In what is a sacred tradition amongst islamic fishermen, some of allah’s finest recently captured a gigantic endangered sea turtle and beheaded it when it repeatedly refused to convert to islam.

It’s the weekend before Miss C’s spring break, only I’m not feeling so spring breakish. She was sent home from school yesterday and today was diagnosed with strep. Thankfully we hadn’t booked a Caribbean cruise, although we could all really use one. Still, I’m hoping that she’ll be feeling good by Monday so we can enjoy having the week off.
